Our Approach

Renting should feel calm, fair, and properly looked after
At Helgi, we create homes to rent that feel settled, dependable and easy to live in. Built for long term stays and real lives, Helgi focuses on removing friction, reducing stress and making renting feel straightforward.
Our approach is grounded in long-term thinking and a quiet attention to detail - creating homes and communities that are designed to work smoothly for the people who live in them.
ONE TEAM
Designed, built and run by one team
At Helgi, the same team is involved from the very beginning - designing the homes, building them, and running them once people move in.
That continuity matters. It means our homes are planned with real day-to-day living in mind, not just how they look on opening day. Small details like storage, layouts, shared spaces and long-term durability are thought through from the start.
Because we stay involved for the long term, we take responsibility for how our homes perform over time. The people managing the homes are part of the same organisation that created them, which means problems are solved quickly and decisions are made with residents in mind.

THOUGHTFULLY LOCATED
With good transport links and employment opportunities
Helgi homes are located in towns and regional centres rather than dense city centres.
We believe great renting shouldn’t be limited to major cities. Many people want somewhere that feels more balanced with space, character and a stronger sense of place, while still being well connected to jobs, transport and everyday life.
These locations often offer something cities struggle to provide: a calmer pace, access to nature, and communities where local businesses, high streets and public spaces still play a central role.
By focusing on regional locations, we can create homes that feel more settled and more connected to their surroundings - places where renting supports a long-term way of living, not just a temporary stop.

HOMES WITH CHARACTER
Many types and styles. One thoughtful approach.
No two Helgi neighbourhoods look exactly the same, and that’s intentional.
Rather than creating identical buildings, we bring together a mix of homes that reflect the places they sit within. Some are newly built, others carefully restored. Across our communities you might find family houses, duplex apartments, penthouses, converted Grade II listed buildings or even the occasional bungalow.
This variety creates neighbourhoods that feel more natural and lived-in, with homes suited to different stages of life.
It also means residents can often stay within the same community even as their needs change - moving from one type of home to another without leaving the place they know.

AMENITIES THAT MAKE SENSE
The goal isn’t to compete with what's already nearby, but to complement it
Helgi provides shared spaces and amenities that genuinely support daily life. But we don’t believe more is always better.
Many residential buildings try to include everything under one roof: bars, cafés, workspaces and private clubs. In reality, great neighbourhoods often already provide these things.
If there’s a good café around the corner or a local pub on the high street, we’d rather support those places than recreate them inside the building.
Instead, we focus on amenities that residents will use regularly and that make life easier - practical spaces that are thoughtfully designed and well maintained.

CONNECTED TO THE COMMUNITY
Helping residents feel part of where they live through local partnerships
Helgi homes are designed to be part of their neighbourhoods, not separate from them.
Rather than creating insular buildings, we actively connect residents with the local places, businesses and organisations that make each area unique. Through local partnerships and events, residents are encouraged to discover what’s around them and become part of the community they live in.
Our resident app makes this easy. It brings together the services, partnerships and practical information residents need in one place, from local businesses and exclusive offers to neighbourhood recommendations.
The app also includes our Healthy Mind & Body partnership with Technogym, giving residents complimentary access to personalised workouts tailored to their goals, fitness level and available facilities - whether that’s a gym, outdoor space or simply their own home.
Our aim is to make everyday life easier while helping residents feel genuinely connected to where they live.
